Winter fishing

Description:

The idea for this painting came from a summer landscape. I was looking at a scene filled with heat, open skies, distant towers, grass fields, and power lines. Yet instead of summer, I imagined the same place transformed by winter.

I began to wonder how this landscape would look covered with snow and ice, beneath a cold northern sky. In my imagination, the fields became a frozen river where people gathered for winter fishing.

This painting is the result of that transformation—a familiar summer landscape reimagined as a quiet winter world.
